7 Sneaky Ways Clothing Brands Cut Costs and Why You Need To Know Them

So the other day I’ve been going through Zara clothing rack and the quality of many items I’ve looked at seemed very subpar, especially for that price tag.

I don’t have a problem with affordable brands for low quality – they don’t charge that much for their items. It’s the brands that offer poor quality at high prices that really frustrate me as a consmer. That’s not to say that Zara and other brands in this market offer only poor quality items or that I’ve gotten only negative things to say about these companies – it’s their business strategy and their decision, same as it is my consumer decision to buy them or not. I’m writing this post because I’m convinced that consumers deserve the best quality for their money. Here’s a list of 7 common things that brands save money on and basically make customers pay more than the item needs to cost. Let’s start!

10 Chic And Elegant Items That Take Any Outfit To Another Level w/Examples

One of the best compliments I’ve ever received referred to my sense of style. Being complimented on the sense of style in a way means that you’ve cracked a secret code to dressing yourself in a flattering way. It also means that you’ve discovered what works for you and doesn’t as well as learned how to mix and match different items and colors in an outfit. Well, I have grandiose plans for discussing colors here on my blog, but for now I’d like to make a quick list of items that work beautifully on literally anyone and take any outfit to another level of ‘stylish’ and ‘chic’. 5 Ways How I Deal With The ‘Wardrobe Graveyard’

It happens to everyone – clothes just sitting in the wardrobe, sad, and almost never worn. It can be a couple of items or a whole bunch of them – it’s not the key issue about it. To me, it’s always been the feeling of frustration and guilt of witnessing all of my unsuccessful purchases not working for me, not giving me any value-per-wear, and being useless. The wardrobe graveyard is always a waste of money, time, and space. I’ve posted before about how capsule wardrobe didn’t work for me, so you can imagine that my wardrobe isn’t minimalistic at all – I like all kinds of items, which makes the issue even more frustrating because my items of clothing don’t go together very easily. Despite these challenges, I’ve come up with my own 5 strategies to keep the ‘wardrobe graveyard’ problem at bay. These strategies don’t involve dividing all the clothes into ‘yes’, ‘ no’, and ‘maybe’ piles or ‘if you haven’t worn an item over the past year, it has to go’, but practical long-term solutions. Let me share them with you, dear readers ❤️

How I Actually Use Kibbe’s System: Outfits, Shoes, Hairstyles, Makeup (updated)

Greetings ❤️ I’ve just posted about how I got to know and love Kibbe’s Metamorphosis and this is a follow-up post. I am a Soft Gamine, but this post will probably be relevant for anyone interested in Kibbe’s system because I’ll share how I actually apply it. To me, the main thing about applying Kibbe’s system in practice is understanding my Yin-Yang balance. I don’t follow book recommendations to every last detail, however I find them extremely helpful regardless. I’ll give examples from my Pinterest and some examples of how Kibbe’s suggestions work in terms of applying the Yin and Yang balance knowledge in practice. Also, this post is ultimately about how I apply this system – not ‘how to dress if you’re a Soft Gamine’. Let’s begin!

Good Taste 101: How to Acquire Good Taste & How to Refine It. 7 Tips

Good taste is ‘notoriously hard to define’ – even The New York Times can’t do it 😊 Now, I can definitely agree that ‘to each their own’ and everyone should ‘live and let live’. Good taste can save you a lot of money, make you feel better about yourself, and bring a lot of value to the people around you. One more curious thing about good taste is that, however hard it is to define, you can see it. I’ll show you some examples in the post – you’ll be really surprised! Without further ado, let’s start!

Why Capsule Wardrobe Might Not Work For You (Like It Didn’t For Me)

I love order and organization as much as anyone else. And I love efficient shopping even more. The worst experience of getting ready is the feeling of looking into your closet with a desparate thought ‘nothing to wear’. Well, it’s not like when we feel that way we actually don’t have any physicaly clothes to put on – we simply don’t feel good about putting them on. Capsule wardrobe felt like it would be an awesome idea for me to address all these issues – but then it wasn’t. As always, I’ll tell you why in form of a coherent short list!
