A Story Of One Jacket OR How Healthy Perfectionism Made Me Learn Something Awesome +Poll!

How I transformed a simple jacket with new buttons, eyelets, and belt buckle.

Greetings on this beautiful spring day! If you’ve read my post about 10 ways to look expensive on a budget, you know that I appreciate the power of accessories a lot. It refers to the accessories such as buckles, buttons, and eyelets as well as jewelry, of course!

When I saw this jacket, it seemed completely perfect for me in every sense, except for the detailing and accessories – buttons, buckle, and eyelets. When I got the jacket, I finally was able to take all the measurements and start looking for the right accessories. Who even thought of putting those silver metal accessories on a warm tone olive jacket? I just had to fix it! Come with me on a small crafting journey and see how changing accessories can jazz up the look of a simple jacket!

5 Things That Stopped Me From Learning My Skin Undertone & How I Fixed Them

How to determine skin undertone? Took me a hot minute, because I had to bust a lot of myths on the way!

Autumn or Spring? Winter or Summer? In this post I won’t go into the seasonal color analysis, but will go back to basics – skin undertone and the overall coloring of the appearance. I’ve done my share of research on the seasonal color analysis and, unfortunately, I must admit that the information is abundant, but often doesn’t make any sense. In my opinion, one of the main issues are bad examples and bad definitions. Guessing celebrity coloring may be fun, but unless we’ve seen them in person without makeup, we can’t judge their real coloring at all – even the best cameras distort colors, and I won’t even start about Photoshop. Here I’ll share the things that always confused me when I tried to determine my skin undertone – what if they are holding you back as well? Let’s see!

Well, I have grandiose plans for discussing colors here on my blog, but for now I’d like to make a quick list of items that work beautifully on literally anyone and take any outfit to another level of ‘stylish’ and ‘chic’. 5 Ways How I Deal With The ‘Wardrobe Graveyard’

How to deal with ‘wardrobe graveyard’ – things that just sit there, but we never feel like wearing them? I give you my best 5 personal strategies to deal with it.

It happens to everyone – clothes just sitting in the wardrobe, sad, and almost never worn. It can be a couple of items or a whole bunch of them – it’s not the key issue about it. To me, it’s always been the feeling of frustration and guilt of witnessing all of my unsuccessful purchases not working for me, not giving me any value-per-wear, and being useless. The wardrobe graveyard is always a waste of money, time, and space. I’ve posted before about how capsule wardrobe didn’t work for me, so you can imagine that my wardrobe isn’t minimalistic at all – I like all kinds of items, which makes the issue even more frustrating because my items of clothing don’t go together very easily. Despite these challenges, I’ve come up with my own 5 strategies to keep the ‘wardrobe graveyard’ problem at bay. These strategies don’t involve dividing all the clothes into ‘yes’, ‘ no’, and ‘maybe’ piles or ‘if you haven’t worn an item over the past year, it has to go’, but practical long-term solutions. Let me share them with you, dear readers ❤️

MISSHA Premium Aloe Soothing Gel Review & Analysis of ALL Ingredients

MISSHA Premium Aloe Soothing Gel Review After 8 Months of Use on sensitive skin. Full review of MISSHA Premium Aloe Soothing Gel ingredients and description for each ingredient

***This gel has another variation – MISSHA Premium Cica Aloe Soothing Gel, full review for it here.

I love aloe vera – both the plant and as ingredient in skincare products. I’ve used the juice of aloe vera plant to cure everything from tiny wounds to skin rashes and chemical burns. In my experience, there’s just nothing better for my skin than the real aloe vera plant juice. However, I currently don’t have the plant at home and when I did have it, I needed a whole leaf for only few days of use on a small area. This means that I’d have to chop aloe vera plant regularly to use it as skincare product. This is why I turned to Korean aloe vera gels – they are convenient to use and often contain additional ingredients that are good for skin.
I’ve tried many of them, including Nature Republic, Holika Holika, and the SAEM, but this post is about the gel I’m currently using and have been using for the past 8 months – MISSHA Premium Aloe Soothing Gel. My skin type is sensitive and I’m very prone to different irritations & allergies. This gel is 95% aloe vera leaf juice, but what about the other 5%? In this post I’ve analyzed ALL ingredients of this gel, so you’ll know for sure whether it’s safe or not. Let’s start!

Jolse unboxing and review #2. Quick overview of my second order from Jolse with both makeup and skincare items.

Last month I’ve run out of my BB cream (Holika Holika Petite BB Clearing – light blue tube), concealer, and cleanser, so it was pretty much written in the stars for me to place another order on Jolse (first order unboxing here). Reducing Waste: What YOU Can Do In Everyday Life To Help Humanity Drown In Waste A Bit Later

What can you do in everyday life to reduce the amount of waste? Instead of just talking about big changes, we can make a differerence by making the right choice everyday!

“The planet isn’t going anywhere – WE ARE” – George Carlin.
I truly find it fascinating that people passionately discuss the climate change and other issues, while taking no actual stance in their everyday decisions. I find it even more fascinating that some people consider it futile to make any effort at all because their input is miniscule compared to the outrageous externalities produced by large corporations. I am convinced that everyone who cares about the environemnt and our future has to do what they can – however small the change is! I am not advocating radical changes that are costly or difficult to implement. My post is about tiny little things that will let you reduce the amount of waste you produce. One small step for manone giant leap for mankind!
