How I Actually Use Kibbe’s System for Head-To-Toe Looks (updated)

Is Kibbe’s system still usable if the book was published three decades ago? I say ‘yes’! This post is ultimately about how I apply this system – not ‘how to dress if you’re a Soft Gamine’.

Greetings ❤️ This is an updated follow-up post to how I got to know and love Kibbe’s Metamorphosis. I am a Soft Gamine, but this post will probably be relevant for anyone interested in Kibbe’s system because I’ll share how I actually apply it. To me, the main thing about applying Kibbe’s system in practice is understanding my Yin-Yang balance. I don’t follow book recommendations to every last detail, however I find them extremely helpful regardless. Also, this post is ultimately about how I apply this system – not ‘how to dress if you’re a Soft Gamine’. Let’s begin!

Soft Natural vs Romantic in Kibbe System w/Examples

Hello and welcome ❤️ Image identities in Kibbe system don’t overlap – they are like planets in the Solar System and each one is absolutely unique and independent from others, but still exists by the same rules. The whole idea of comparing two image identities thereby can be considered nonsensical because how can one compare incomparable things? That being said, I think looking at two image identities side by side can be very useful in the process of learning them, in order to understand them. So consider this kind of post as not a comparison, but merely a closer look at these image identities that can be often confused because they share several important features. In my previous post I analyzed Soft Gamine vs Theatrical Romantic, now Soft Natural vs Romantic.

MISSHA Premium Cica Aloe Soothing Gel Review & Ingredients

Aloe vera gel is a staple in my skincare/makeup bag at all times. It saved my skin countless times and, even though I have aloe vera plants at home, I always have a jar of aloe vera gel on hand. Waist Shape in Kibbe System. Waistline and Yin-Yang Balance

Hello and welcome ❤️ Today I’ve finally collected enough evidence to talk about one of the most curious topics when it comes to the Kibbe system – waist! Waistline has a considerable role in the 1987 book Metamorphosis and the test included in it, but we all know that David Kibbe has trimmed his system into a more agile and effective one over the years, so what about waist? Can Yin-dominated image identities, like Soft Dramatic or Romantic, not have a prominent waist? Let’s see.

Tip Tuesday #18: Makeup Multitasking – Multiple Uses for Beauty Products

Hello and welcome! This post is a very short one – it’s about how certain makeup items can be used for different purposes. I’ve traveled a few days ago and got this idea while packing since I had limited space for my beauty products. I think it’s awesome that I can get a lot of use out of a small amount of items – how do you think?
