As you might know from my previous posts, I’m a big fan of Korean skincare – it just fits my skin, while European and American skincare usually causes irritation (even such brands as Vichy, which is supposed to be extremely suitable for sensitive skin). In Europe it’s often hard to find Korean skincare and makeup at reasonable prices or at all, which is why I usually opt for overseas e-shops, such as iHerb and now Jolse. I have to point out that I’m not affiliated with these companies and just a regular customer sharing my experience.
I placed my first order on December 16th, 2019, and it was shipped on December 23rd (the delay occured probably due to holiday season overload), and then delivered to me on December 30th (pretty quickly!). The website is pretty much intuitive and very easy to use. I knew what I was looking for, so I used the search tool in the top right corner to find everything. Here’s a screenshot of my order:
Every new customer gets $3 credit, which I applied for this order and the amount I paid was $37.87. For all these items I got $1.21 credit, by the way.
This is how it looked when I opened the box:
Nice surprise immediately – testers and a mask!
I knew that Jolse puts some free samples in the boxes, but I didn’t expect there to be so many for my relatively small order. I have to give it to Jolse – the samples are all different and they are different product types, which is awesome. All the items I ordered were safely packed in bubble wrap. Everything that was in the box (click on the image to enlarge it in a new tab):
On top are the things I ordered (I’ll be reviewing all of them after I’ve used them for at least 2 weeks each, so stay tuned):
ETUDE HOUSE Moistfull Collagen Deep Cream 75ml
THE FACE SHOP Rice Water Bright Cleansing Light Oil 150ml – didn’t like it at all! See a short review in the end of this post
Samples (left to right):
May Island Real Essence Face Mask Pack Arbutin
The SAEM Snail Essential EX Wrinkle Solution Cream
The SAEM Urban Eco Harakeke Root Essence – tried it, liked it quite a lot – very moisturizing and calming
Dr.Balmeur Foaming Cleanser – tried it, turned out to be a bit too drying for me
The SAEM DermaPlan Green Calming Cream – already tried it and found it to be not moisturizing and calming enough for my skin. My skin felt like this cream sucked the moisture out of it within 5 minutes after application. Very lightweight formula though – could do well as a day cream during summer
THE FACE SHOP Rice Water Bright Cleanser – tried it, turned out to be a bit drying for me and didn’t leave my skin moisturized
JOLSE blotting paper – tried them and they are not bad, but I already have my favorite blotting sheets I order from Aliexpress
The SAEM Cell Renew Bio Micro Peel Soft Gel
LUKE Charcoal Nose Cleansing Strip
By far, I can recommend Jolse. Despite the delay with shipping, everything arrived intact and rather quickly, taking into account that it was the holiday season. The package was delivered to my doorstep. The samples are a nice addition and can help pick new skincare. I’ll be placing new orders and make updates referring the service. As a rule, I buy only the goods I need, because there’s nothing more I hate than waste!
